Research Interests

My research interests relate to the tourism experience, with particular focus on pre-consumption and internal communications in times of uncertainty within the cruise sector.  I have published in several tourism journals and practioner publications.

Teaching Responsibilities

I am the the Senior Learning Designer in the Business and Law Faculty and I am responsible for enabling academic and services teams of staff across all disciplines to (re)design course and modules embracing different modoes of study through facilitating EnABLe workshops. Prior to this I worked on the Faculty's undergraduate Degree Apprenticeship programmes in various roles including Course Leader and  Lead Apprenticeship Coach. l am a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.

Biography

I have taught at the University for over 10 years working in business, tourism and marketing at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels. Throughout my time at the University I have supervised both undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations, covering a variety of  topics.  Professionally I have experience from many sectors of the travel and tourism industry, including airlines, tour operators, travel agencies and cruise companies, working for companies such as British Airways, Thomson and P&O.
