Personal profile
Biography
I started my working career as a Commissioned Officer in the Royal Air Force, enjoying a short service commission during which I was introduced to information systems and technology. Using this experience, I then had a full and varied international career working mainly in the UK, Europe and the United States, principally as an information systems specialist but also as a general business consultant.
I finally joined the University in 2004. I currently lecture in information systems, information strategy, systems thinking and other diverse areas such as leadership and management and general business environments. I have been course leader for undergraduate part-time programmes in Leadership and Management, has co-ordinated a number of units, is active in supporting disabled students within the Faculty and has previously acted as the Faculty Widening Participation Co-ordinator.
Research Interests
My research interests include information systems, systems thinking and education and is currently undertaking a PhD. I am a member of the UK Systems Society and hold an MSc in Information Systems, with Distinction from the University of Hertfordshire.
