I received my Ph.D. in MIS from the UK Open University in 1998, and am currently Professor in Information Management and Lead of school executive courses. I served as Head of Operations and Systems Management for 10 years. My specialist interests are in strategic information management, Digital technology and systems application, Responsible AI and goveranace, sustianble capability development and traceability systems in global supply chain. I lead several funded research and KTP projects totaling over £1m on digital process in healthcare, data analytics and AI in supply chain, B2B intelligent platform in Marine and activating ageing workforce. I supervised more than 10 doctoral studies to completion and published more than 60 articles in international journals and books.

Strategic information scanning, Managerial and organisational information behaviour and capability, Business Intelligence; Knowledge management; e-Business/m-Business strategy and logistics; Cyber security and governance; Digital application and impact on organisations, Food safety in global supply chain. Current projects focus on 1) Responsible AI from ethics, risk and governance perspectives; 2) Tracing food safety incidents for benchmarking, reporting and alerts; 3) A KTP to develop an integrated inventory platform embedding AI and machine learning , with Entec Global Ltd, funcded by Innovate UK.
