MR
I am a second year PhD student researching representations of gay men and HIV/AIDS in British and American film and television. I co-teach with Professor Deborah Shaw on the Gender, Sexuality, and Cinema module. My other research interests include LGBTQ+ media, queer and trans representation in film and television, LGBTQ+ issues and the Walt Disney brand, masculinity in film, and drag culture in the media.
In 2022, I wrote an article on Disney LGBTQ+ representation and far-right political change in Florida for The Conversation. The article has been re-published in HuffPost Spain, The Economist Mexico, and The Quint India.
