Summary

I am a Teaching Fellow in Entrepreneurship at the School of Strategy, Marketing and Innovation. I hold a PhD in Strategic Management, with focus on strategy and entrepreneurship in family businesses, from Loughborough University. I am also a postgraduate of International Business Administration, and Investment Banking and Islamic Finance, with 6 years of industry experience in leadership and management within SMEs

 

Experienced in qualitative research using multiple case study method, in-depth semi-structured interviews with senior executives in strategic management. 

 

My recent paper titled "Evolution of Stewardship Across Family and Business Goals: Towards A Transitive Stewardship Framework" (co-authored with Prof. Mathew Hughes and Dr. Boyka Simeonova) was awarded the Best Paper on Conference Theme Award at the 18th annual EIASM Workshop on Family Firms Management Research held in Naples, Italy, October 2-3, 2023. The paper (in process towards publication).

Teaching Responsibilities

I am currently the module coordinator of 'Critical Entreprenurship Study' module, and I teach on the 'Business for Bioscience' module. I also supervise PG dissertations.

Research Interests

My research interests lies at the nexus of strategy and entreprenurship and in the areas of family businesses, and social innovation and entrepreneurship.
