Summary

I am a Principal Lecturer in New Product Development. I have published in several Marketing and New Product Development journals, primarily in the areas of packaging development and product development in an ageing population. I have worked with many firms to examine and enhance their new product development activities. Much of my research is within the food and drink industry and broader fast-moving consumer goods sector, with both large and small companies.

Research Interests

My research interests include new product development, product and packaging development within the food industry, and ageing consumers. I am currently working on projects exploring:

- Packaging development and food waste reduction

- New product development capabilities in an ageing society

- A critical examination of consumer input to product development projects

- Category management and own-brand food product devleopment

Teaching Responsibilities

I am Programme Lead for Strategy and Innovation within the School of Strategy, Marketing and Innovation. I teach on a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate modules in the areas of new product development and innovation management including, Contemporary Issues in Product and Service Development, Managing Product Portfolios, and Managing New Product Development.
