Biography

Before joining academia, I worked for 15 years as a Manager and Business Consultant for enterprises in the Caribbean Region. I hold a PhD in Engineering from the University of Cambridge. More recently, I have worked  to develop the area of Responsible Project Management (ResponsiblePM.com). The RPM team works with academia (UK, Europe and Asia), Project industry associations (APM & PMI), professional societies (the UK Systems Societies) and NGOs (Association for Sustainability Practitioners) to  help the profession develop Project Managers that meet societal obligations . We have engaged in a collaborative program of education, research and public engagement in the form of the Responsible PM Forum, the development of a guide to Responsible Project Management, a Manifesto and the Research Handbook of Responsible Project Management that has encouraged researchers and practitioners to incorporate sustainability into their current practice. This initiative has been a success an ongoing number of collaborative events along with the adoption of RPM at universities in North America, Europe and Asia. RPM has also supported the delivery of GCRF and Innovate UK funded projects.
