Biography

I am a Senior Lecturer in the School of Energy and Electronic Engineering. I hold a Diplom Ingenieur (FH) degree in Mechatronics from the University of Applied Sciences Aachen, Germany, and undertook my PhD research at the University of Portsmouth, UK.

Research Interests

As a member of the Intelligent and Networked Systems Research Group (INS), my current research interests include the following areas:

  • Smart Homes
  • Sensor networks for corrosion monitoring in offshore wind turbines
  • Intelligent sensor systems on powered wheelchairs
  • Fault tolerant Control in Nuclear Power Plants
