Biography
Paul teaches on the University's German and English linguistics programmes. In the past, he has taught modules on modern German dialects, the history of the German language and current trends in German linguistics. He has also taught units on 20th Century German history and literature, specialising in the culture and society of the former GDR.
Most recently, he has finished work on a GCSE German ''Resources and Planning CD-Rom" for Oxford University Press / OCR. He is currently writing materials for a new multi-media Keystage 3 German course for Oxford University Press.
He is also a regular contributor to the periodical “When Saturday Comes”, writing about the culture and history of football in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
