Philip Lea

I am a Teaching Fellow in Law within the School of Civil Engineering and Surveying at the University of Portsmouth.

I cover the subjects of tort law and contract law. I teach first year surveying and civil engineering students.

Prior to working in Higher Education, I qualified and worked as a litigation solicitor in private practice, specialising almost exclusively in professional negligence.  

Outside of my professional career I have been the founding Trustee and Director of a number of disability related charities and was also a retained Firefighter with Hampshire Fire and Rescue service.
