Personal profile


I did my undergraduate training at Kings College London, an intercalated BSc at University College London and clinical training at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School. I specialized in Ophthalmology; did an MD in Diabetic Retinopathy at the Hammersmith hospital, registrar training at St Thomas’/ King’s College Hospital rotation, with further fellowships at Moorfields, and the New England Eye Centre, Boston. I was appointed to Southampton University Hospital as an Ophthalmology Consultant in 2001, then as Clinical Lead at St Mary’s Portsmouth, Care UK in 2019, and Professor of Visual Science University of Portsmouth in 2020.
