Senior Teaching Fellow in Strength and Conditioning
I joined the School of Sport, Health and Exercise Science at the University of Portsmouth in October 2018, from working as a practitioner in the discipline of applied of sports science and strength and conditioning. These roles have included leading an academy sports science programme at a Premier League football club, as well as various strength and conditioning positions across professional football. Previous to my roles in football, I worked within tennis at a LTA International High Performance Centre in Hertfordshire. I completed my post-graduate MSc in Strength and Conditioning in 2014 from Middlesex University.
Alongside my academic role, I am an active practitioner, most recently leading the university scholar strength and conditioning programme, working with a variety of national and international level athletes.
I teach across MSc Strength, Conditioning and Rehabilitation, and BSc Sport and Exercise Science within the School of Sport, Health and Exercise Science
I am currently undertaking research as part of a Professional Doctorate, exploring interventions HE Institutions can implement to increase the employability, retention and attainment of under-represented demographics within strength and conditioning. I supervise both UG and PGT research projects within the discipline of strength and conditioning including:
