Roberto Braglia

Roberto Braglia is an architect and educator with over 20 years of international experience across architectural practice and higher education. He is currently Associate Dean (Global Engagement and Education Partnerships) in the Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries at the University of Portsmouth, where he leads on international strategy, transnational education, and academic partnerships.

Roberto has held a number of senior academic leadership roles, including Associate Head (Global Engagement and Education Partnerships) and Global Engagement Lead for the School of Architecture, Art and Design. He previously served as BA(Hons) Architecture Course Leader, contributing extensively to undergraduate and postgraduate design teaching and curriculum development.

His research focuses on architectural pedagogy and is currently developed through an ongoing doctoral project exploring emerging models in architectural education. His work is underpinned by a strong commitment to teaching and learning innovation, collaborative practices, and the evolving relationship between education and professional practice.

Roberto trained as an architect and building engineer at the University of Pavia (Italy) and has professional experience across Europe, working on projects ranging from housing and commercial developments to urban regeneration. He is a registered Architect (ARB, UK) and Building Engineer in Italy.
