I am course leader for the BA(Hons) Illustration course and in addition teach on the MA Illustration course. I graduated from Wolverhampton Polytechnic in BA (Hons) Printmaking and have an MA in Printmaking from Wimbledon School of Art.
Specialising in: artists’ books, print (etching, screen, relief, embossing) illustration and self-publication.
My research interests focus on exploring ‘evidence’ from official documentation and records, particularly those that use coded information. Specifically, the mark making employed in record keeping, official files and documentation - not traditionally accessible for general viewing. As a printmaker I am researching the visualising and interpreting of this data along with possible misrepresentation and its inherent value. With the increasing drive to digitising all of our personal data I am seeking to evidence the tactile quality of paper records that is rapidly disappearing.
