Personal profile

Summary

I am a Senior Teaching Fellow in Leadership and Management within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. I hold a PhD in Business Management from the University of Huddersfield, where I also obtained my MBA. I completed my BSc in Economics and Operations Research at Crescent University, Abeokuta, Nigeria.

Before my academic career, I worked for three years at Ramjasam Investment Nigeria Limited, where I held roles as Product Manager and later Director of Negotiation. This industry experience informs my teaching by enabling me to integrate practical insights with academic theory.

I currently teach across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, contributing to a range of modules in leadership, management, and strategy. My teaching approach is student-centred, with a strong emphasis on applying theoretical concepts to real-world organisational contexts.

Research Interests

My research interests lie in the areas of international business strategy and leadership within complex and dynamic environments. I am particularly interested in sustainability strategies for organisations and how businesses respond to the ongoing global polycrisis. I also explore the role of gatekeeping in organisational and institutional contexts, as well as leadership strategies that support resilience, adaptability, and long-term organisational performance.

Teaching Responsibilities

I teach across both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in leadership and management. My teaching covers a range of modules, including Business and Marketing Environment, Organisational Behaviour, Strategies for Sustainable Leadership, Strategic Thinking, and Marketing.

I am involved in the design and delivery of teaching, assessment, and student support. I also contribute to module coordination and the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate student work. My teaching is focused on developing students’ critical thinking and their ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world organisational challenges.
