Personal profile

Summary

Strategic marketing and recruitment specialist with a proven track record in driving regional economic growth through government-backed initiatives. Between 2022 and 2023, I spearheaded the recruitment for the 'Help to Grow: Management' course at the University of Portsmouth, a flagship £31m UK Government project delivered in partnership with the Chartered Association of Business Schools (CABS). Managing a dedicated marketing budget of £35,000, I successfully integrated multi-channel digital strategies with high-level stakeholder engagement - liaising with local councils, Chambers of Commerce, and the Department for Business and Trade - to exceed recruitment targets for local SMEs and secure significant faculty revenue.

Key Contributions & Impact:

  • Government Project Leadership: Led the recruitment and marketing strategy for the Help to Grow: Management programme, ensuring BAL’s success as an early-adopter business school.

  • Budget Management: Managed a £35,000 government-allocated marketing budget, optimizing spend across digital, social, and physical event channels.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitated high-level partnerships between the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and the Chartered Association of Business Schools (CABS).

  • Regional Networking: Represented the Faculty at national business exhibitions and forged strategic links with Local Business Hubs and Chambers of Commerce to drive SME engagement.

  • Campaign Execution: Executed full-funnel marketing plans, including press releases, content creation, and multi-channel social media management (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook), resulting in increased participant intake and faculty funding.

Biography

My academic career is underpinned by a Distinction-grade MA in Digital Marketing and a 1st Class BA (Hons) in International Business, both earned at the University of Portsmouth.

My postgraduate research focused on disruptive innovation and social media strategies for Exchange Study Abroad programmes. The project focused on enhancing the digital outreach and stakeholder engagement strategies of the Faculty of Business and Law’s Global Support Office (GSO). The project analysed the digital journey of first-year business students, resulting in a strategic roadmap to improve website communication, design targeted email marketing campaigns, and organise promotional events. The work emphasised the role of digital channels in maintaining fruitful relationships with international stakeholders and increasing participation in exchange study abroad programmes.

With deep expertise in international marketing, innovation management, and digital content creation, I bridge the gap between academic excellence and industry application.

My current work focuses on curriculum design and enhancing the global student experience through my roles as Course Leader for Exchange and lead for live-client marketing agency projects.
