Personal profile


I am a Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Strategy, Enterprise and Innovation Subject Group, Faculty of Business and Law. I am also the Departmental Research Degree Coordinator. My current research examines entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainability with a focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). I am interested in applying fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) to examine the potential causal complexity with respect to innovation and entrepreneurship-related phenomenon.


I hold a PhD in Management from Lancaster University and an MSc in International Marketing Management from the Robert Gordon University. Prior to my academic career, I have ten years’ industry experience in Shenzhen, China.

Research Interests

My current research interests include entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainability within the context of SMEs. I am also interested in the factors, such as the individual, team, firm, or policy factors, that contribute to the innovation and growth of SMEs.
