Summary
Dr. Xiaodong Wang serves as a senior lecturer at the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance at the University of Portsmouth.
He obtained a PhD in Financial Management from Henley Business School, University of Reading, and an MSc in Economics from the University of Surrey.
Xiaodong’s primary research interests encompass financial stability & exclusion, small business economics, financial intermediation, intellectual property in corporate finance, and e-business growth.
He has published research articles in leading international journals, including the International Review of Financial Analysis, European Journal of Finance, European Journal of Marketing, and Journal of Business Research, to name a few.
In terms of teaching, Xiaodong currently lectures two undergraduate modules: M32615 Advanced Business Analytics and M25080 Advanced Study Skills. He also teaches a postgraduate module M31995/M32274 Data Analysis and Visualisation. In the past, he taught six finance-related modules at both the University of Portsmouth and the University of Reading.
Xiaodong is open to discussing research ideas in the areas mentioned above and welcomes opportunities for collaboration, and PhD applications.
