V&A Museum acquire eight sketchbooks by Jac Batey

Prize: National/international honour

Description

"On behalf of the Trustees of the V&A, I am writing formally to thank you for your most generous gift of eight sketchbooks containing work used for the zines Future Fantasteek! (official Museum nos E.382-2026 to E.389-2026) to the V&A Museum.

The V&A is delighted to confirm acceptance of these striking sketchbooks, which make a valuable addition to our large illustration collection in a range of processes, as well as forming a fascinating visual diary and snapshot of a decade of life in Britain in the 2000s.

When they are not on display in one of the V&A's sites or loaned to other museums elsewhere through our active international loans programme, the artworks will be held in the prints and drawings collection and will be available to view on request in the Museum's Prints and Drawings Study Room, where we will be able to share them with visitors, students and researchers for many years to come."
