An investigation into the impacts of Climate Change on anthropogenic Polluted Coastal Lagoons in Africa

Project Details

Description

This project sets out to investigate the impacts of Climate Change on polluted coastal lagoons to enhance the development of mitigation and adaptation strategies, using Ghana as a pilot case study. Ghana has been selected for this project because its lagoons are representative of African coastal lagoons (Biney, 1982; Perry and Sumaila, 2007). The pilot study will allow us to establish both key assumptions on effects on Climate Change on polluted lagoons and to develop a network of scientists for the preparation of a large proposal in 2015/2016.
