Description
'Being Human' is an annual, nation-wide festival celebrating and advertising the importance of the Humanities in all its manifestations. Running from 19th - 26th November 2016, the Festival's theme was 'Hopes & Fears'. The University of Portsmouth's contribution to the Festival was a series of talks and workshops around the topic of science fiction, dystopia and HG Wells - an author with a great local connection - held in collaboration with Portsmouth City Library. Additionally, we hosted a hands-on 'Steampunk' workshop with talks, exhibits, costumes etc in Old Portsmouth's atmospheric Square Tower.
