Project Details
Description
We will develop a learning algorithm to ‘read’ both the text and photographic information behind online auction sites' listings. The system will mimic human expert classification of illegal elephant ivory but much more cheaply and thousands of times faster.
We will use crowd sourced participants to identify anonymised illegal ivory being sold online. Participants will access an application (similar to Galaxy Zoo) which will enable them to take part in the project.
