Constellation Ukraine: Governance Within and Between Decentralised Communities

Project Details

Description

The research aims to assess civic support to formal/informal governance in contemporary Ukraine, degree of subordination to national/local institutions (in both peaceful and war times), process of adjustment of institutions to new realities, roots of institutional legitimacy, and willingness to mobilise in face of political challenges and/or external threats.

The research aims to offer a fresh and comparativist insight into Ukrainian micro-regions through charting spatial values, thus opening the way to operationalise governance, security, and institutional efficiency.

The research employs structural interview (repertory grid technique) to gain insights from civic society activists on the topics of governance in Ukraine's micro-regions (cities of Vinnytsia, Lutsk, Mykolayiv, and Sumy).
