Cosmology, Gravitation and Astrophysics at Portsmouth

Project Details

Description

This is the renewal of the Institute of Cosmology & Gravitation's (ICG) STFC Consolidated Grant. It consists of 12 projects, each led by an ICG member of staff. (Including Daniel Thomas, who has now moved to SMAP.) The projects cover a range of cosmology and astrophysics topics including: the early Universe, observations and simulations of large scale structure, gravitational lensing, numerical relativity, galaxy evolution, stellar population synthesis modelling, formation and evolution of black holes, and tidal disruption events. The estimated value is based on the previous application, which contained a similar number of projects.
