‘Design  and  Style  Guide’  and  Design  Proposals  for  Gosport  High  Street

Project Details

Description

The ambition of this project was to work with Lynda Dine and her team at Gosport Borough Council (GBC)  to  create  a  ‘Design  and  Style  Guide’  that  could  be  used  to  strategically  change  and  adapt  the  existing Gosport High Street.

In addition, this project involved the production of design proposals that could be used by staff at GBC, associated design consultants and tendering contractors to realise the ideas suggested in the ‘Design and Style Guide’.

This project must had a high level of design aspiration while at the same time was pragmatic and cost effective; implementation of the suggested design proposals was a key factor in the development of this work.

“The  aim  of  the  project  will  be  to  ensure  that  investment  in  the  Town  Centre  celebrates  local  distinctiveness, creates an attractive and legible environment for visitors to the Town and Waterfront and encourages greater community involvement and interaction with the local heritage, retail and cultural offer.”
