‘Deterrence and Innovation: The Contribution of the Academic and Policy collaboration to achieve a Modern strategy’:

This project relates specifically to the university’s strategic goal of promoting innovation and research. It addresses the real world problem of deterrence which relates to security threats and challenges facing the UK. This directly addresses the University cross - disciplinary theme of security and risk. The project involves liaison with academia, as well as the MoD at a local and government level, thus fostering collaboration and enhancing future opportunities for partnerships and research. The involvement of UoP in the formation of an Academic Alliance, which my research project addresses, raises the profile of the university in this emerging area and at this important time.
