The project aims to investigate novel quantum optical techniques based on the use of multiphoton distributed networks to estimate single or multiple physical parameters for imaging, biomedical, environmental and fundamental applications.

The project aims to achieve Heisenberg-limited and sub-shot-noise estimation with real-world resources. The project will involve a collaboration with the University of Bari and Xairos (contribution towards a PhD bursary and 90k£ in terms of time and support of their Chief Scientist).
