    Project Details

    Description

This sprint project explores the use of immersive audio as a means of enhancing audio descriptions found in art galleries. The project is based around the development of immersive Binaural and Ambisonic audio recordings of the artist Jessica Weatherly discussing her latest collection presented at the Aspex gallery. The artist was subsequently directed to walk around the recording space as they would anticipate a gallery visitor to walk around her sculptures.

    Key findings

The spatial information recorded as part of the process therefore is used to gently influence visitors to walk around the collection.
