Herbert Seabury Hunt Ashmead-Bartlett

I am working to publish an edited version of HSH Ashamed-Bartlett's First World War diary.

Ashmead-Bartlett worked in Home Defence Intelligence during the First World War. He fought in the trenches, witnessed the Easter Rising in Ireland in 1916, and worked to defend British skies against the Zeppelin threat. His diary provides an unrivalled source into what home defence intelligence entailed during the conflict.
