Description

A collection of animal themed imagery from illustrators of the animal kingdom. Based at the BA (Hons) Illustration course at the University of Portsmouth, UK, curated and managed by Nicola Hay, it is a resource of images resulting from sustained investigation and visualisation of the animal kingdom. Inspired by sustained research and visual enquiry the images are informed by a great breadth of source material including; art and illustration, literature, myth, legend, poetry, statistics, philosophy, phrase, fable, music, performance, symbols and science.
