Description

The Inclusive Leadership programme, which is to be co-designed with input by the ETF led Expert Advisory Group, aims to help develop leaders' understanding of what it means to be an effective inclusive leader in FE and Skills. To meet those challenges, leaders must develop their leadership capacity with both adaptive and technical leadership skills and become confident and influential systems leaders.

The programme is aimed at all FE and Skills leaders, including middle managers, senior leaders and strategic leaders who are looking to effect change in their organisation to make it a more inclusive place for both staff and learners. The programme will seek to clarify the change they want to effect, develop the skills they need to affect that change and model the behaviour that is needed to create impact in their organisations.

Aim:
• To collaboratively develop a programme to support FE and Skills Leaders to build their skills, knowledge and behaviours in inclusive leadership in order to increase inclusivity within FE and Skills.

Objectives:

The objectives of the programme are for participants to:
• Understand their place, purpose and influence as a leader on inclusivity in their organisation,
• Identify different techniques and skills for effecting change within an organisation,
• Learn to analyse issues relating to inclusion using a systems approach in their organisation,
• Build a knowledge base of effective inclusive leadership practices relating to a variety of topics based on evidence and case studies,
• Learn to plan effectively for interventions to increase inclusivity within their organisation.
