Investigation of biofilm removal abilities while limiting abrasion of dentures cleansers

Project Details

Description

Haleon has been working in collaboration with the University of Portsmouth to demonstrate the value of micro-CT imaging and digital volume correlation (DVC) techniques in analysing the performance of dental products including toothbrushes and denture cleansers.

Based on the success of these previous studies, the present project aims to use high-resolution X-ray tomography in correlation with digital volume correlation and SEM to propose a reliable method for assessing the performances of new cleaning product formulations under development by Haleon, as well as placebos to further understand their mode of action.
