Learning and Teaching Innovation Grant Fostering ‘sense of belonging’ through co-production in the social sciences: exploring its impact on student engagement, progression and satisfaction

This project seeks to foster a sense of belonging amongst students in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, in three different programmes: Sociology, Childhood and Youth Studies and Politics and International Relations. These programmes offer contrasting cases of differing levels of student satisfaction, teaching practices and methods, and student profiles. Childhood and Youth Studies, in particular, has faced challenges in relation to student satisfaction; comparing the experience of these students with those in other programmes has the potential to contribute to bridging this satisfaction gap.
