Update of the original 'Men missing on a night out' study (Newiss and Greatbatch, 2017/2020) drawing on 150 (fatal) cases from 2010 to 2018.
Layperson's description
This study examines the characteristics of 150 men who were reported missing following a night out and were later found deceased. In 85% of cases the body of the missing person was found in water.
Key findings
In 85% of cases the body of the missing person was found in water. In just over half of all cases the person went missing during the Winter months (December, January and February).
