Micromechanical evaluation of bone tissue combining indentation, microCT and in situ microprobing testing

Project Details

Description

Understanding of bone tissue properties is challenging. In this project a combination of different techniques such as microindentation and in situ X-ray Computed Tomography (XCT) mechanics coupled with Digital Volume Correlation (DVC) will be employed to achieve an extensive characterisation of the tissue in healthy and pathological conditions. - PhD Studentship funded by UoP
