Project Details
Description
This course was developed to include MSc level teaching and assessment, along with industry-recognised training through collaborative partners and related practice-based learning with placement partners in exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation, exercise-based pulmonary rehabilitation, exercise-based rehabilitation for people living with and beyond cancer, exercise-based falls prevention and exercise-based stroke rehabilitation. The separate modules were delivered in block rather than parallel over the academic year and were also available as standalone short courses.
Key findings
It is possible to deliver a collaborative programme with MSc level teaching & assessment, external vocational education providers and practice-based learning partners to deliver block-taught intensive modules that are feasible for widening participation and those who are currently employed.
