NIHR In-Practice Fellowship

Project Details

Description

Fellowship for Dr Kathryn Carey-Jones: The activity of the IPF will be based in primary care and occur through several pathways, including formal academic training, informal ‘in-practice’ training, and bespoke opportunities creating a solid grounding for a career in primary care research. The training will focus around the DIAGNOSE study which aims to identify better methods to reliably diagnose asthma in primary care, following the recommendations of the National Review of Asthma Deaths in 2014 which recognised the need for better tools for diagnosis in primary care. The trial will commence in Autumn 2019 in line with the IPF, and provide the trial-led learning from design, protocol development, delivery and eventually dissemination.
