Quayside Conversations for IFCA hybrid consultation

Project Details

Description

Evidence produced by Defra, shows that fishers favour informal conversations over formal consultations . Online consultations, while designed to increase participation and foster trust, appear to mostly have done the opposite. Many find it difficult to engage digitally, and the prevailing perceptions are that individual views are drowned out by submissions by organisations. This piece of research, covering the Southern and Sussex IFCA districts, will provide an opportunity for fishers operating from the district and other local stakeholders to contribute to the consultation in a format that is intended to work best for them.
