Project Details
Description
Combines computational score analysis and audio feature extraction to provide a comprehensive understanding of musical compositions, emphasising the potential of merging traditional and computational methods. The approach allows for large-scale analysis, revealing connections between various musical elements and compositions. Initial findings show that these methods offer new, complementary ways of interpreting musical data, enhancing traditional analysis techniques. Funding will support further score input from a research assistant to broaden the material available for study, strengthening the range and number of outputs and increasing impact.
