Support to develop a legally binding instrument to end plastic pollution

Project Details

Description

In light of the global agreement to develop an international legally binding instrument to end plastic pollution, the Global Plastics Policy Centre team will be supporting this process. The project includes, among other approaches:

1. The assembly, synthesis and analysis of evidence to support the overall global agreement process, including the publication of a series of themed policy briefs and events focused on the key aspects of the agreement;

2. Targeted policy consultation and advice to national governments, reflective of unique challenges and opportunities, to maximise the effectiveness of their plastics policies in support of the global plastics agreement. Priority would be given to developing countries; and

3. The development of public and media-friendly resources to engage the public in the global plastics treaty process.
