Project Details
Description
Pain captures our attention, making it difficult to concentrate on other tasks. Research to-date has shown that pain negatively affects working memory, which is essential for a wide range of cognitive tasks. However, it remains unclear exactly which components of working memory are impacted by pain. In this project, we are examining the effects of pain on working memory storage versus processing, in both the visuo-spatial and verbal domains.
