Project Details
Layperson's description
This project enhances the developing area of West African Security Studies in the Faculty, which occupies a growing number of colleagues and PhD students. It offers a strong contribution to the University-wide research theme on Risk and Security, as well as supporting the Democratic Citizenship theme. Now is a particularly propitious time for these activities. The West African region remains beleaguered by conflict and is an increasingly pressing concern for the UK government. This project will develop ongoing research trajectories in this area and maintain partnerships with academics in West Africa and policy makers in the UK.
