This was the first Internet Project. Research during the project created a caught in the act filter to assist in using the Internet and investigated collaborative filtering to guide the use of web browsers. New computer screen pointers were created and their position was calculated using intelligent colour sensing systems. The pointers were demonstrated on thin-film transistor and cathode ray tube computer screens. Finally, some progress was made with research onto machine intelligence.
The following were created:
- A caught in the act filter to assist in using the Internet.
- Collaborative filtering systems to guide the use of web browsers.
- Computer screen pointers that used intelligent colour sensing systems.
- Pointer devices for thin-film transistor and cathode ray tube computer screens.
