Project Details

The Zeiss Global Centre (ZGC) is an advanced X-ray facility aimed at delivering world-leading research covering interdisciplinary themes ranging from life sciences to the physical sciences.

As well as providing industry engagement opportunities, the ZGC supports both national and international collaboration, innovation and enterprise, outreach, and teaching activities.

The ZGC is hosted by the Future Technology Centre, part of the School of Mechanical and Design Engineering (SMED), Portland Building.

Equipment consists of two high-resolution X-ray microscopes, one affiliated low-resolution X-ray microscope, and a range of in-situ loading rigs.
