Abstract
With the recent discontents for investor-state arbitration for various obvious reasons, international business community tends to favour mediation and other ADR methods. However, the meanings of mediation and the mediation style that is followed can be sometimes misleading. The author shows that mediation, if properly understood in the context concerned, can prove to be an attractive alternative to international arbitration in state-investor disputes.
