Abstract
This paper investigated a CFRP floor panels for large buildings. Investigation includes design, modelling / theoretical analysis and experimental verification. The CFRP panel was designed as a pultruded beam with great benefits from its lightweight, high strength, high stiffness and low thermal conductivity features. This article actually supplied the design curves for practical applications of CFRP floor panels in buildings. Investigation provided a potential building component in the low carbon constructional industries for saving energy and reducing CO2 emission. This work forms the basis for a new proposal to TSB for a potential KTP project for developing green buildings.
