Abstract

The Work Show Grow exhibition "Another Layer", took place on June 7–8, 2025, at ASC Courthouse Projects, located at the County Courts, Cleaver Street, London. This exhibition was a group show, part of the Work Show Grow community of artists, which supports creatives through mentorship and educational programs. The event showcased the artists' work-in-progress and provided a platform for them to be seen and heard by the public and their peers.

During the exhibition Vera showcased a selection of new and existing work from the long-term project "With the Name of a Flower" - including portraits of her grandparents accompanied by a mock photobook spreads sowing the people from the Muslim community in Bulgaria, which Vera has met throughout the project.

The sound installation "Whisper" was also showcased during the exhibition, accompanying the newer work in progress pieces.
