Abstract

In the context of Industry 5.0, the integration of advanced technologies is driving the evolution of data-driven future. This chapter examines key technologies such as big data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), deep learning, and Digital Twins, all of which are leading to the transformation towards a more intelligent and interconnected world. The chapter opens with a brief overview of Industry 5.0 and reviews how these technologies contribute to this industrial revolution. Applications of data analytics and AI across selected sectors, namely healthcare, supply chain management, automotive, and environmental management, are then discussed. The chapter highlights how AI enhances decision-making, improves efficiency, and supports sustainability efforts. Additionally, a discussion on the emerging potential of Generative AI is included, followed by a brief look at the challenges it presents.
