Abstract

The paper considers the problem of decomposition of multivariable systems for the purpose of distributed fuzzy control. Some terms and definitions with regard to this problem are given. A decomposition method, decreasing the strength and the number of interactional fuzzy relations among subsystems, is proposed. The method is used for decomposing a power system with regard to its load-frequency control. In addition, two distributed (hierarchical and decentralized) control laws are applied to the decomposed system and the results are analysed.
