Abstract

For adaptive modulation as a fade countermeasure an adaptive modem is the significant component in the system. It is envisaged that extensive use of direct digital synthesis (DDS) and digital signal processing (DSP) techniques offer the best performance solution. This paper presents modem implementation techniques that have been proposed to achieve good error probability performance in various channel environments. Operation of adaptive control system and obtained simulation results are given. They are used to determine the preferred modem design.
